Shea Butter – moisturizes pores without clogging them. It's natural, so no side effects or harsh reactions on babies and on those with sensitive skin. It resists eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis, gradually fades scars away and helps to soothe burns. Shea butter Includes Vitamin A which helps rebuild the cells. It includes Vitamin E which is an antioxidant and leaves no oily residue over the skin after absorption.
Soybean Oil – is rich in vitamin E, a nutrient that can help promote skin health. Applying it topically may protect against inflammation and help the skin retain moisture.
Kaolin Clay – has many benefits to the skin, but my favorite two reasons are that it draws out toxins and impurities from the skin and it helps the skin to retain moisture, which is a great feature in a soap.
Activated Charcoal – chemically binds other substances to its surface and hold them there, so molecules adhere just to the surface of the activated carbon. This is called “adsorption” (not the same as absorption where one substance is incorporated into another). Charcoal can adsorb thousands of times its own weight. It pulls the unwanted excess oils from your skin along with the dirt from the skin, and is known to be highly beneficial in the treatment of acne. It not only aids the removal of toxins, but also removes skin impurities thus helping in the treatment of acne. It even clears facial marks resulting from acne.
